Strawflower, Paper Daisy, Everlasting Daisy, Golden Everlasting
Xerochrysum bracteatum

I really enjoy observing the strawflower blooms go through several stages as they mature.

Thanks NoH20! Just had to take a closeup of this beautiful bloom with the the gold undersides of the petals contrasting against the bright orange topsides.

Thanks, debi_z. No, I sure don't remember. All I can remember is orange strawflower. I've never tried any of the cosmos before. The double orange dwarf sounds like something I'd like to try. Thanks for suggesting it.

You did a great job of capturing the beauty of the flower with all of the shades of orange and gold!
