They are called the Slender Clearwing Moth, people around here have been calling then the Hummingbu=ird moth that is incorrect but they do resemble a teeny tiny hummingbird when they hover and feed, this little guy was at this particular bush just about every afternoon kind late actually. It was cool to watch him at the bush and the thing wasn't even startled by my presence I got some truly interesting photos, I now have the butteelfy bushes ion almost all four sides of the yard so I will be checking them out for critters this year also. Buffy, maybe I'm blind (it's entirely possible), or maybe my monitor needs a tuneup, but I can't see the variegated foliage on your plant - are you certain it's 'Harlequin' or perhaps another variety? (pretty, whatever it is!)
