Our two story home that has had several additions is sided with an aluminum lap siding that has been on there for at least 25 years. It is a yellow color with the appearance of a wood grain in the aluminum. Some of it is getting stained from our hard water, rust. The siding is in good shape but boy would I like to paint. It is still trimmed in wood that I have kept painted white. The roof is a brown color. Can I paint this siding? From what I have read they say to prep it you must clean with a good detergent and possibly a power washer. Any ideas on color , remember my roof is brown.
