Hi Jim
My mother has this plant. Smells so good...it's two huge bushes she keeps trimmed back. I got me some new shoots about 2 weeks ago and someone said to put them into some water and they would root. No roots yet. Have an idea how to get a better way to do this???

Yours look so healthy and pretty :-)

I've been looking at getting some of these to put around my A/C unit to replace some spindly/unhappy Ilex glabra (Inkberry or Gallberry). The tea olive flowers are incredibly fragrant. I can't imagine what 100 of them will smell like!

Annabellegabby:
I'm not sure the water method will work on this shrub. You might try using rooting horomone and a sterile soil mix to try to root a new shoot. Since I have never tried to do anything like this myself (yes, I'm chicken!), your best bet would be to post this question in the propogation forum here on DG.
