This photo nicely illustrates a young seedling of Ipomoea sloteri synonymn Ipomoea x multifida and can be used by comparison to differentiate it from a seedling of the closely related species Ipomoea quamoclit,by virtue of the shape of the cotyledons coupled with the look of the first true leaves...The first true leaves on this depicted seedling are still very(!) young and relatively small,but still display the basic 'sculptured' pattern and form of the leaves of a more matured plant.
