Wintercreeper Euonymus 'Emerald & Gold'
Euonymus fortunei

I use this plant for color and texture. It is spectactular unpruned and rambling with other plants in the bed. Euonymus 'Emerald & Gold' is planted here with Rosa 'Shadow Dancer'; Salvia 'May Night'; Dianthus 'Ideal Carmine'; and Agapanthus 'Rancho White'.

Great photo. Your bed planting combination is super and the 'Emerald & Gold' adds the perfect contrast in color. I really like seeing photos that show the plant at a distance so one can see its total effect in combination with other plants. I would take more like this one, but my digital camera seems to be designed to take only good closeups. My big old dog knocked it out of my hands as I was putting the battery back in and it is a goner now (the camera, not the dog; however, I did have a few thoughts about how to extinguish him too for awhile!). I have a new one coming which I hope will take a better range of photos. Thanks for sharing your plants with me.

What a beautiful setting! A treat for the eyes, that's for sure. It's so good to see photos of combinations of plants for future reference. I'm just not very good at combining things yet and pictures like this sure help. Your plants look so vigorous and healthy! Great photo! Thanks.
