The blooms become more red before they go to seed. The blooms are starting to seed in the foreground. The petals have dried to the left with seeds forming. A full seedhead is in the middle. (San Antonio, Tx.)
I have seen these in nurseries here a few times. I will go by where this plant is growing and obtain a seedhead. The owners are very nice and because I am going to take them some 'Sweet Memories' dew drop seeds, they told me the other day that I could have seeds from any of their plants. Their whole front yard and side yard is landscaped with native Texas plants and is a sight to behold.
I understand that this plant is a lot much easier to grow from cuttings. I have one plant and even though it produces hundreds of seeds, they don't seem to germinate.
