The wait to get into the new catalog was well worth it for me!!! I promised myself I wasn't buying anything new, but just browsing and renewing my subscription to Heirloom Gardener - but alas - there were certain seeds that just jumped into my cart and demanded they would do well in our garden this year. Imagine that!!!

New items in our garden will be:
1500 Year Old Cave Bean - a bean that was found in a sealed clay pot in New Mexico.
West India Burr Gherkins - introduced in 1793 from Jamaca - not really a cuke at all but used similar
Cardinal Peas - large red peas that fill a pot quickly when shelled (my kind of pea!!!)
Zucchini Nimba - an early zuchinni from Poland
Daniels Tomatoes - Pink tomato up to 2 pounds, early, and heavy yield.
Giant Belgium - Very large pink tomato easily over 2 pounds and up to 5!

I dare you to just look and not buy :-)

Soooo... What are you going to be growing in your garden?

Have a safe and Happy New Year!
