Additional info: (aka Star Gazer)

Butterflies love this plant. It was progated from seed and bloomed the 2nd year. This picture was at 3 years. Comments to: tjml46@aol.com

Welcome Timmyj! Love this lily - I am waiting for mine to bloom for the first time. I ordered them from the bulbs co-op last year and finished planting everything late summer early fall. Seeing your photo helps!!!! Thanks for sharing. Where do you hale from?

Sorry to say, but this it definately not Lilium speciosum at all. It looks most like the popular Oriental hybrid "Stargazer", characterized by its upward facing flowers and wide petals. As you can see from the other photos under this listing, Lilium speciosum has rather pendant flowers, and narrower petals that curl right around to the back.

What you have is a pretty lily though, and I was very happy with my Stargazers this year.
