I know that cast iron plant is a great indoor plant, but I decided to put mine outside several years ago and they have multiplied ten-fold. In the winter they get direct sun but in the summer it is in deep shade. Once planted they do not seem like they want to be moved. The roots are very deep. Do not seem like they have any pests.
Anyone seen this one bloom? I've read that it's polinated by slugs and snails. Flowers are small and tubular, like crinum lily flowers only much shorter; heavy jasmine scent. Grows very well outdoors here [southwest Florida].
