I thought some of you might find several of the sites below of interest. Most of them will provide information about the kinds of vegetables we were growing the the mid 1800s. Enjoy!

If these links do not work, do a search on google,and type in 1850 heirloom vegetables.
This might interest all the group, because there are a lot of sources included, but also descriptions of so many heirlooms, in taste and in appearance.
