I have navy blue rod pocket velvet curtains but our rods are traverse rods. Besides the traditional sewing of the thing and then using the hooks that usually are used to to in the little eyes of the traverse rod, what else could I do to attach the curtains to the eyes of the traverse rod's moveable parts??

I really don't want to have to do all the lining and stiffening and measuring and pleating that it takes to make the curtains the "traditional" way and I was just hoping against hope that there would be an easier (and possibly a prettier?) way to do it...

any ideas? You assistance in greatly appreciated.
