ZZ Plant, Aroid Palm, Succulent Philodendron
Zamioculcas zamiifolia

This is our ZZ plant... easy to keep inside and out of the house. Water a little once a month.

Funny I should see this tonight! I have seen this plant twice this week for the first time! HD had it and a close by nursery. I love how the fronds unfurl.

I first saw this plant in Annapolis Mall, in Annapolis, MD -- it was in all of the hugh planters throughout the Mall (I counted about 58 large containers) -- I was totally amazed by its appearance -- all of the plants were so "very, very" healthy. Then, yesterday I was in IKEA (the store) and lo and behold, there it was! I purchased 2 of them. I had to transplant them immediately! from a 6" pot into a 12" pot -- I watered it because it was drying out! I live in a condo on the 9th floor with a Northeastern exposure and I never get "direct" sun. I'm hoping I can put it in front of the balcony window. I do have one question -- does the container size direct the size or eventual size of the plant?

Funny yet, I saw this plant for the first time in a super market a couple of weeks ago. They were selling lots of them in a rather low price. I didnīt get one because of my lack of space right now, but I will keep an eye on it.
