This photo hypes the "blues" in this flower a bit more than you would see in reality. Eevery specimen I've ever seen would only be described as a truly "purple" blossom, but it shows the delicate, painted affect perfectly and C. callistegioides is a terrific vine to have in your garden. It's only shortcoming, if it truly has one, is the relatively brief blooming period, something it shares with its close relative, the Bignonia capriolata or cross vine.
