So awesome...I have 3 seedlings going of this species. One even has what looks like a flower bud, but it is only 2" tall at most!

Hi Joseph! Did you ever get flowers on your Bower Vine seedlings? I sent you the seeds a couple of years ago. You sent me Butterfly weed seeds, which were wonderful. They haven't returned yet this year. I sure hope they do. Here's a picture of the Bower vine below. I sowed seeds too, and it took a year or more to bloom from seed.

Hi Clare,

I got a few flowers last year, on second year growth vines, and this year I am hoping for a great flush of flowers. I will be sure to keep you updated on them. The flowers I got were nice to see, making it a complete reward for starting them from seed and waiting for them.

The butterfly weed has yet to appear in my garden, and I think it is a late to emerge kind of plant. Last year was the best year ever for that one (Asclepias tuberosa) and the two kinds of A. incarnata I have in the garden. Hang in there, let's hope your butterfly weed comes back soon.

James, I bet you're right that the Butterfly Weed will appear late. I think it did last summer also. I know I took a picture of it, but I can't seem to find it right now. Good luck with your Bower vine flowers. I bet you will get a nice flush this year, and good luck with your Lavender Trumpet Vine seeds as well. Growing from seed is indeed a rewarding accomplishment:-)
