Everything I've read about the culture of B.cordifolia calls for a partially shady position, yet this plant seems to growing in a sunny rock garden. Mine were planted several years ago in a mounded garden and never bloom, probably because they get too much sun. I do water/fertilize them and the plants look healthy & are spreading, but again, no flowering. I live in zone 5b. Plan to move them to a partially sheded position, do you think this will help? Thanks, Pawn

I have one in a sheltered position which blooms, and I have some new 'purple-leaf?' ones in full sun which have never bloomed, and whose leaves have never turned purple with the sun! I do remove disfigured leaves in Spring, and watch all the new leaves develop!
