Eastern Purple Coneflower
Echinacea purpurea

Here's the seed head of our Purple Coneflower after a snowstorm in March 2004. I named this pcture "Purple Snow Cones".

that is a beautiful photo...i could see it matted and framed...very interesting lines and balance...have you considered entering it in a show or photo contest???

When I first saw the photo, I thought you had mislabeled it and it was either mashmallows or cotton that I was looking at. LOL It is a really great picture!! And should be entered in a contest or show just like alph suggested.

Many thanks for your comments. We are so dry here in central Iowa, the ground would slurp up these "snow cones" without a second thought. LOL
