Bloomed for the first time in 33 years in the last couple of days, apparently out of season. This specimen is 6+ feet tall and is kept in an apartment in NYC; Southern exposure. It is probably over 50 years old based on its size at the time I rescued it from an empty apartment. What a nice surprise. I never knew it could/would bloom. The frangrence is intoxicating...
I noticed this morning that my plant was going to bloom also..I have cut it back many times because it grows so fast in the house that it reaches the ceiling every summer...about 15 feet. I had no idea that it bloomed, the plant is probably 20 - 25 years old. Does anyone know if they usually DO bloom? and what can I expect from the bloom...thanks so much
