Amaryllis 'Apple Blossom'

The second stalk of blooms on this amaryllis had much deeper colors than the first stalk had for some reason.

It does seem a bit darker than the usual appleblossom color...pretty, though!

I am curious as to why the bloom is so much darker than the ones that were on the other bloom stalk on the same plant. I did move it to where it received more direct sunlight, but I would have thought this would have had no effect or the blooms would have been lighter. Thanks for your comment.
