I would love to have mine closer to the house but I thought most of these orchids were extremely susceptible to die off if moved. CaptMicha Brookeville, MD (Zone 7a) May 05, 2004 10:51 PM Post #860744 I did move mine actually closer to the house also because slugs attack them, deer eat them and they get trampled out in the woods. They transplanted VERY nicely. I watered them with a weak solution of plant food to counter transplant shock. Just make sure their new location meets the optimun growing conditions for these plants.
