THAT IS A GREAT PLANT i RECIEVED SOME SEEDS THRU A TRADE NOT FROM THIS GROUP AND NONO CAME UP IF YOU HAVE A COUPLE OD SEEDS TO SPARE AT THE END OF THE SEASON CAN i GET SOME FROM YOU??
I have 2 BEAUTIFUL specimens of the Black Currant Swirl (which I have finally identified through this site. I have never seen one before and am unsure as to where to plant them.
I live in zone 9 and most of the reading seems to point to keeping them in pots and bringing them in during the winter. I have 2 pink ones that I never got around to planting last year (or bringingin for the winter) and they seem to be doing fine. I would like to place them where they can make the biggest show. They really are fabulous.
Buffy, that was from last year and I traded and gave away the seeds from it, I planted 4 seeds, if they take and grow, I will save seeds again.
Demo, I would think in ZOne 9 they would be ok left out? I am zone 5 and mine die back and I just have to start over from seed, perhaps someone who has grown them in your zone or area would be better suited to offer you advice on them. Wish I knew more about them for ya.
Redrose, same here, If these grow for me this year I would be happy to share seeds with you.
