Anyone own one of those big barrel composters that you turn like a rotisserie? I'd sure love to hear from someone with experience with one of those things...
redwolf(arliene) just gave me one this spring-im throwing everything in it!!! So far its looking good!
While I cannot give you first-hand experience, everything I've read says they are easy to use and produce compost quicker,
I have some SS rollers and plan to make one or two for myself using 55 gal. food-grade plastic barrels. Probably not until I get a new house though.
Yes..I bought the large size 17 bushel ComposTumbler last summer. One of the best things I ever bought. I throw all yard clippings, leaves and table scraps and well as the chicken manure from my 3 chickens and have the best organic ammendments ever. In the summer when it is hotter, it does just what they advertise, black compost in 14 days but takes alittle longer in the winter.
Real easy to use and assemble. If you live in a humid climate, I might suggest painting the inside to keep it from rusting.
