A friend just gave me one of these. Do you have to train it or does it climb by itself? I have never heard of a climbing hydragea, but then again, I have never heard of a lot of plants. Any insight would be great. BTW, georgous pic.

My climbing Hydrangea is trained to grow along my split rail fence, so it grows in an orderly fashion. Just make sure to grow it in a shady moist location and then be patient. It takes several years before it flowers.

Hi. I am interested in climbing hydrangea...a neighbor said that they have one and it does well on their fence. I have a split rail, pretty sunny, and don't want to attract bees. is this a good choice?

also, is it poisonis to dogs?

thanks!
