PALMBOB is the silver dollar plant in the same plant catagory as hens and chicks, and live forevers? The picture you posted is simply beautiful.

They are all Crassulaceae (same family)... but not sure what you mean exactly by same plant 'category'...

When I asked about the same category I meant same family. I'm trying to learn all the stuff I can about gardening. Why I asked, I received some Silver Dollar Plant seeds with some hibiscus cutting that I ordered off ebay. They sent them as extra along with some poppy seeds. I looked them up and the ones I found wasn't near as pretty of a plant as yours. Can I just plant the seeds out next spring or should I start them this winter in the house. Do you have any suggestions. Any at all would be of help.
Thanks
Linda

palmbob, Very pretty Silver Jade. I have a green Jade that is about 45 years old, the trunk at soil line is about 8" in diameter. It has to be moved in and out of the gh in seasons. It is full of buds about ready to open and will stay in bloom for about three months. Your foliage is much prettier than mine. Donna
