This is a noxious weed in North Idaho and you can be billed for pesticides if you do not take care of it. It is taking over entire fields of farm land and is the bain of farmers as it chokes out everything else and has no nutritious value to animals.
I don't know that much about the different Hieracium species, but I found that the state of Idaho lists H. pratense and H. aurantiacum as Designated Noxious Weeds: http://ag.utah.gov/plantind/nox_west.html
