Where can I find a Cow's Tongue Prickely Pear Cactus the size of the one in the photo? What is the cost to have it delivered and planted?

Please help,
Rosemary

Don't think that's a common plant that size... could cost thousands. Not sure where you'd get one, either.

To my knowledge this plant is not available anywhere near this size. It's deceptively heavy and many of it's arms and pads would break off in transport and in planting.

The good new is that those pads are simple to plant (uh, using barbeque tongs!) and will grow rapidly to this size. A single pad I put in last summer has four new pads this spring. Where I live there you could take tons of pads for free - and some folks might pay you to take some, lol! It just spreads, and spreads, and spreads. Makes a pretty good fence, too!

Oh mah gosh this is such an amazing plant re: I never seen or heard of this one... I look forward to trading with anyone who has this cactus, We recently purchased a few prickley pears for 5 bucks from the hairdresser's neighbor... I'll have to post a picture (on my garden diary) of the tallest one ((soon)) and if someone wants to trade (one or two) pieces ... Let me know... (((tks))) Ps: no matter how careful I am while gardening I still end up with them tiny thorns (from) our other cactus, on my fingers! (lol)
