At the top of the thread (in the line just prior to the first green bar) there is a text lik to Watch Thread, if you are watching the thread it will have changed to Unwatch Thread.

thanks Baa!!! that did the trick... couldn't figure out how I was watching all these threads when I knew I didn't click on anything.. weird.
