I have a wooden plank that is roughly 15x6x1 inch. This was once used as a step in a small staircase that was exposed to the weather on the balcony for NINETYTHREE years. It is of teak and the weathering has made it look really old and it is brittle outside. I have thought of using it to engrave "DINU'S EDEN" on it to make it look vintage. What do you think about this idea? I have already carved out the first four letters and it is looking good, but the spaces between letters seem to crack away -very brittle, but as it is carved in, it is a bit softer.
The length is just enough only for those letters mentioned above.
How is this idea and does the name suit the purpose?
