Nice palm. I wish I could stick my palm tree in the natural earth but unfortunately I'm in the Sierra Nevadas and it is 20 degrees outside.
My palm was a present from my little brother and I love it, but I'm getting worried. I think it's too cold near the window, so I'm gonna put him next to the heater at night; then the window in the morning for sun.
The leaves are upbeat, but turning brown at the end and some are yellowish and falling off. I only water about once a week, but I'm thinking maybe I should water more because it is so very dry here.
I'm at 6200 feet by the way.
I also read I should rinse it to rid of the salt and calcium. The water here is pristine by the way. "Lake Tahoe". Does that mean flushing water through it intensely or would that hurt it?
I need some advice PLEASE! Thank you, Dan
Salts can be in any water... but your water is probably better than mine.. .but still, it can't hurt to really water the palm heavily one day... water it maybe 10x outdoors (on a warmer day). Dont recommend putting in near the heater... could be salts or sun making the leaves brown, or too dry. But cold is not likely unless it is below freezing in your house.
