Hi All!
Just thought I'd take a minute to put out a warning on this new E-bay spoof!!!!
I got an E-mail with the above E-dress. The E-mail said my security had been compromised and if I didn't reply within 72 hours my E-bay account would be suspended.
It provided a link that looked legitimate, it took me to an official E-bay sign in link (it looked like it anyway).
I had to put in my password...
The next step asked for my credit card and banking info. It looked legit as well and even had my name address ect...
already entered.
A blue link at the bottom said 'Terms and Conditions' when I clicked on that it was credit card terms and conditions.
Wellllll, I haven't signed up for ANY new credit cards & DON'T plan to!!!!!
THANK GOODNESS I had read at GW about something simular that happened to Gemila and someone else, or I could have easily fallen for it!
I reported it to spoof@ebay.com and got a letter back almost immediately that it was NOT from E-bay and would be reported to the authorities!
In the meantime I went to E-bay and changed my password since I had entered it to get to the next phase of the E-mail!
Just a heads up for any of you E-bay sellers or buyers!
E-bay will NEVER send an E-mail asking for such info! You should go directly to E-bay.com, sign in THEN update any info!
