Nice picture, Stacey!
That would make a good background for my desktop if the
resolution was better...too bad we have to size our pictures
down for Dave's. Mine average about 2.5 to 4 MB and I resize
them down to 100kb to upload and it really cuts down on the
clarity.
Still holding some aristolochia for me??? No rush...we are going to
the beach later this month (Pensacola). Your picture is making me
want to go right now!

Stacey, I know it is illegal to dig the plants. What about collecting some seed?

I don't want any, just curious about the law.

Interestingly this plant is listed as invasive in many areas. The law is really in place is to protect the dunes, not the plant. It got to the point where so many plants and seeds were collected that the dunes were eroding, hence the laws. Dunes are actually being created here in Florida where sea oats have been planted and the dunes are the best protection from storm erosion.

Good info, thanks. Being a FL Native, I'm always for more protection of the natural areas.
