Need help in identifying the yellow flower in photo. It came up with some mixed wild flower seeds. Thanks

I'm glad you posted the latin name, otherwise I would have posted Prairie Coneflower (Ratibida columnifera) :)

Thanks, I had been told mexican hats before. They are so unusual around here and a pretty flower also. Jim

Will these come back or will I need to save some of the seeds?

Camilla, GA(Zone 8a)

they reseed in my wildflower patch and I'm in south GA.

Thanks for the replies. I noticed a big patch in a yard here in town and the flower looked the same. However my plant is only about 18" and the other is about 5' tall. I intend to stop and work up a swap for some seeds.
