While reading "The Daylily Journal" I read that the editor owns a daylily called "Apricot". This is listed as being registered in 1893 by Yeld. I decided to look up other heirloom daylilies and found these listed: Aurantiaca 1890s Aurantiaca Major 1890s, Florham 1899 and Francis 1895. I'm wondering if anyone here has further information on Heirloom daylilies? I've looked over the internet and found heirloom to be listed as starting in the 1930's. Just wondering what they looked like and if it were possible to purchase Heirloom/antique daylilies. I posted this on the daylily forum and didn't get any responses, so I thought someone here might be able to direct me. Thanks.
