I have been looking at some of the really neat things people are creating using something called tufa. I believe I understand the concept.
I currently have two molds for stepping stones that were a gift from a friend and I never did anything with them yet but am planning on trying my hand at casting them this winter.
If anyone has any great sources for molds of urns, birdbaths, or planters; I would be most appreciative if you all would share your links with me. I am particularly interested in finding a mold for anything that depicts an acanthus leaf motif however I am interested in everything and anything to include simulated slate or wood.
Here's a photo of a small birdbath that has a depression in it for a small gazing ball. Looks as if it is carved out of real slate but it was actually made out of resin.
