My daughter fell in love with this plant at the resort, it was very soft and delicate feeling despite how it looks. We thought it would be stiff and thick...Does anyone know what it is?

Looks like a Maranta.

That resort has a funny name.

Yes it does have an odd name! The resort is huge, and a lot like being at disneyworld. The one in Texas has a replica of the Alamo inside.

I have one and it's easier than most Calathea's to keep. It can take a bit more sun and it likes to stay very moist and humid. She can probable find one at Lowe's for about $5.00-6.00.

I have some I'd be willing to trade. I dont know if I'm breaking the rules or not by saying so here. Is there a "proper" way to go about trading? I just joined this week. TIA for any pointers, -dave
