AKA amaryllis. If I could figure out how to upload, I could show pics. Will make that a homework assignment if someone is interested.
This particular amaryllis I 'collected' in bulb form 12 years ago and got my first bloom this spring. It is the orange-red bloom with white stripes, lime green throats.
To everyone who thinks this is the greatest idea, please realize that amaryllis from seed is a lengthy process. Bare minimum three years, or my record, 12 years for a bloom.
