The one in the picture is next to the house, as you can see, and that is a south-facing wall that gets sun all day. It stays warm enough that it will bloom to some degree all through the winter. They are very vigourous. That picture was taken a few years ago and we have to keep cutting back the one side of the plant to keep it off of the sidewalk, but we let it get as tall a it wants. It's got to be six feet tall now.
If anyone is interested, I will give away seeds for SASE. I can't guarantee that all of the offspring will be identical to the parent, but it can't hurt to give it a try.
