No, I didn't soak mine. I planted them in Spring and gave them warm sun. antique9410 Magnolia, TXJune 22, 2008 05:46 PM

Any clues as to where one can get the "seed" needed to grow this lovely plant? Have had no luck. Live in/near Houston TX. Sandy Xenomorf Valley of the Sun, AZ (Zone 9b)June 23, 2008 09:21 AM

Someone from Kermit, TX sent me some seed years ago from thier plant.
But here's a place online you can get some:
http://www.tropilab.com/caesal-pul.html
You can also do a google search for "Caesalpinia pulcherrima seed"
and you will probably find a place that has them. MargaretK PERTH AustraliaAugust 16, 2009 11:13 AM

I didn't keep a close enough eye on the seedling(s) and they burned up in the summer. :( MargaretK PERTH AustraliaAugust 16, 2009 06:29 PM
