Hi, in the Hosta Handbook Mark Zillis lists it as H. ventricosa (Ovate-leaved Plantainlily; Murasaki Giboshi). It's one of three hosta species known to be native to China and was one of the first hostas exported to the West. We've been growing it for a long time in our nursery. It's an easy one to grow from seed, if you enjoy doing that.
