I'm sure this is an easy one for you guys, but I don't know what it is. I always called it chinese lantern, but I don't think that's right.

It has small yellow flowers followed by orange seed pods that have red seeds. It is quite pretty when the seed pods open to show the red seeds, but I think every single one of those seeds germinated TWICE last year!

Here's the flower, leaves and a seed pod . .

Got a name?

Yep,
Poppysue is right..
Be very careful.. I am in zone 8 and it is one of the worst weeds we have.. I started some from seed several years ago and still after all this time I have to kill off a bunch every spring & keep pulling thru-out the summer... They literally take over my fences and other vines..

Thanks everyone!

Larkie - tell me about it! These have been on this property since I moved here - luckily not anywhere that I have any 'good' plants! I pull them constantly - the first year I thought they were pretty, but pretty just goes so far!

Thanks a lot everyone!!
