My wife (and me too sometimes) seems to want to run to the baby every time he grunts, groans, wimpers or cries. I've read stuff on the internet (medical sites) that seem to suggest that it's perfectly normal to let them cry. So what's the general rule of thumb? I knwo he shouldn't be left alone to cry for a really long time, but let's say 5 or 10 minutes? To let him get it out of his system maybe? This assumes there's nothing wrong...like he's already been fed, burped, no health issues, etc. Just plain ole crying. I'd rather let him cry a little. It's too taxing on us to keep staying by him constantly...or at least, every time he gets fussy. Seems like it would be perfectly normal to let him cry once in awhile. I mean, you can't anything done otherwise.
