I went with 'other' because I bought a few Christmas lights on clearance (300 icicle lights for $1.21 - couldn't walk by), I avoid the stores/crowds if possible, I'm too broke to shop and I'd rather save what I have for plants and books on plants! lol

I voted, I avoid the crowds...but I can easily use the internet, to take advantage of sales!! So, that is what I am doing. Plus, staying away from all the cold germs!

I always get my paper and ribbons and add a few new decorations, other than that I stay away from the Malls.

as long as i can be out of the store in 30 min its OK other than that no way do i want to fight the crowds.
It is no fun to stand in line for just a few dollars off i hate shopping.
Happy Gardening!

Just glad that the hustle and bustle is over for a while. I'm planning ahead for this years gardening and will need all I can save to replace the things that got really frozen that shouldn't have!!

I voted other. I am not keen on shopping although you'd think otherwise if you went with me, I have to restrict myself to going when I need a specific something, then I can only go to a town where there is very little choice in shops ... why? because I can't make a shopping decision for toffee. Will it be cheaper at so and so? What's the best deal? If I travel to Winchester will the cost of petrol bring the price up to the same as if I went into Southampton? If I buy that and that here could I get this there too? Can I use this voucher or should I be buying this thing in the first place? Then I don't like the quality or the sales staff or there's a funny smell to the item or a mark or a crease *G* No one will go shopping with me anymore, they all suddenly have something far more important to do or have a very short lived bout of Baaitis.

I'm not quite that bad but I do get into a tizz when I can't find exactly what I want straight away.

I guess I'm a sucker, becuase I just bought a few things and nothing was on sale! My Christmas gift card helped, at least. Otherwise I've had my share of shopping for awhile.

Voted Avid post-holiday shopper and I got some great deals. I have always done this and just plan a year ahead on alot of the things I purchase. I have three grandchildren...and I purchased twelve 2 - 3 piece outfits for next winter and saved 50 - 75% on each outfit...I just go up a size on each child...as they are all 4 years of age and under.

I also purchased several containers of lotion and soaps that were on sale for 50% off...these will be used during the year for odds and ends and last minute gifts. Christmas cards from National Wildlife at over 50% savings.

I haven't set foot in a mall in over 5 years...pre or post holiday. The after Thanksgiving frenzy and the after Christmas stampeeds just turn me off.

I shop in small stores where I can call the owners by name and pay a little more for that priviledge. I call ahead and make sure the item I want is in stock...go get it and leave.

I worked retail in a shopping mall as a young adult and now that I don't have to be in the mess...I choose not to go.

Everyone should work at least 2 holiday seasons in a shopping mall...it will make you appreciate what goes into keeping the consumer happy...and you will get turned off by the commercial hoo-ha.

I choose to shop throughout the year...and have my holiday gifts purchased or made...(mostly made) by the end of October.

I avoid the crowds, but usually am able to still find a few bargins after Christmas merchandise is mostly picked over. I got some 65 feet rolls of gift wrap for .99 and thought I'd done pretty good.

It's a great time to grab those tiny white Christmas lights "cheap" if you live where you need a little precaution again frost, as here in San Joaquin Valley. I string a few around through patio trees and plants . . .gives off just enough warmth to keep them from getting nipped by frost.

The only Christmas lights I got on sale after Christmas was "Bright Lights." Gotta love the 75 cent cactus sale. Other than that, there isn't anything worth the crowds.

I usually avoid shopping, but this year I had to go to the store to get a few items and found the Christmas Village and accessories at 50% off. I saved about $35 and next year I can set out what I always say I want around the tree :) I wish I were one of those people that had enough money after Christmas to purchase a year's worth of birthday gifts, christmas gifts, or gifts just to have in case you need one. :) I also wish that Christmas would come around (just one year) in July when we aren't "starving artists" on the farm! I'm a picky post-holiday shopper. I look for great clearance deals while I'm doing normal business, not out actively looking for the sales. I racked up some Hippeastrum bulbs and got to be the first to dig through the newly displayed bulbs! :-)

Shopping turns me off - period. Crowds make it doubly unpleasant. Yuck! On-line is OK...but I have too much "stuff" as it is...

Now, a nursery sale...that is a horse of a different color!

I voted "other" because I've been pre-spring ordering plants, mostly Hosta. Some good deals out there for early bird orders, free shipping, etc. I can hardly wait for spring!
