I have a couple of paddle plants that are in their crazy blooming stage... once the flowering is complete, can I cut that tall, thin stalk back down to inside the significant paddles and expect that plant to live? Aesthetically, where I have the plant works better to be more rounded, etc.
I would want to wait until the flowering process is complete though, as I find that pretty exciting to observe...
I've read that the plant dies after flowering. How do I make sure I still have a plant left after this happens? It appears to have plantlets at the base, will these survive or do I need to separate them away from the parent plant?
Thanks for any info. This is flowering for the first time here.
