Tree, maybe because it grows wild in FL? It's a popular perennial here in VA for fall sales. Hard to sell in the spring, but once it 'blooms' in the fall, everyone wants one!

This plant is used almost entirely in commercial landscapes here. Such as shopping centers and the side of highways etc. The garden centers here mainly only carry tropical plants and palm trees that for the most part aren't native. I really could make the same comment about all of my favorite plants... They are hard to find without driving hours away to get them. Meanwhile there are growers locally who won't sell these plants to the public, only to the trade which is frustrating. I'm moving to Orlando at the end of the month so that drive to get plants is going to get a whole lot shorter.

Such a pretty color. New here and I love the random photo feature.. gives me a chance to see some gorgeous photos that I would not see otherwise. (I'm sure that's been said before)

I planted this beautiful grass last summer and I do love it. However, I have seen no sign of it returning. Is it too early? I cut it back in February as instructed. Please tell me that I am just impatient.
