I already posted this on roses and photo- I missed this forum! Brand new on this site, sorry!!! This is a neighbors rose- a climber about 20 feet high - blooms are 1-1.5 inches across. Very prolific bloomer- unscented, no thorns, dark pink. Very hardy in zone 5 with no protection. Any ideas? There is another photo of the blooms on the photo forum. Thanks for any help. Vicki

Zepherine Drouhin comes to mind - it's a pink thornless climber but it does have a fairly strong fragrance. Here's a photo: http://helpmefind.com/sites/rrr/pl.php?n=2572

I'm not aware of very many thornless climbers, so if this isn't it, I'm stumped. Welcome to DG, by the way!

That may be it. It is over 15 feet, but it's in a nice sunny location. It almost has to be a rambler. I mean- this rose has overtaken a very large lilac, then arched about 15 feet down into my yard. I will check and make sure about the thorns tonight. Thanks for the welcome. This is a wonderful site.
