I needs your help...

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Anyone out there ever planted Amarylis seed? How long did it take for the plant to mature and bloom? Planting depth?
Bloom season zone 7? I really love this flower, but I am a novice with it. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

I planted some in the greenhouse during the winter. They are about four inches high now. I just about covered the seed and put a plastic lid over to retain the humidity. I think it is going to be quite a while, over a year, before they are blooming size. Here's a link; http://www.botany.com/hippeastrum.html
