Who is the guy who plays the husband/father terrorist that got shot last week? I know him from somewhere and I have exhausted my wee memory bank trying to figure out who he is.

Nestor Serrano was seen in the 2004 summer blockbuster "The Day After Tomorrow." His other feature credits include "Runaway Jury"...etc. I can't copy it so I just typed the first few lines. The rest of his info is on their website. http://www.fox.com/24/profiles/ I'm really enjoying the show this season!

I watched the first season and then dropped out until this season started.

I watch very, very little television, but this show has me hooked.

Every week is something new...just when you think you have it figured out they toss you a curve.

And leave you hanging out there till next week.

I will agree with anastasia that things are not quite what they seem to be on 24.

Each week the terrorists are becoming less and less Muslim which goes to prove that terrorism can live in the heart of any race / religion / etc.

Really fun. . .no wrong word. . .afterall the USA is at stake...or maybe the whole world.Ya know, I usually fall asleep praying, really, but on Monday nights I find myself falling asleep wondering "where those 2 shots into Dina's back?" "will Edgar revolt against Chloe?", "will Paul recover?" "what if. . .?"

Last night is precisely why I love to hate this show...

Every single time I think that I have it all figured out. HA...the writers take me for another ride around a dark curve.

I was sort of beginning to like what's her name. She was becoming a somewhat sympathetic character.

They chose the right guy to play Marwan. I didn't like him as Imhotep in the Mummy and I like him even less now. Chloe was doing some really bad acting last night. From what I remember she was better earlier in the series. I am sort of sorry they killed off the mole that was working in CTU. She made things interesting.

Next week we take to the air in a whole new dimension to our adventure. Mr. President is going to be in danger on Air Force One is my guess. Then again it might be a strafing run of the White House...who knows. At this point I am going to just stop guessing and watch.

It will be interesting to see what is next.

Round and round...twist and turn...where it stops is anyone's guess. I get the feeling that the writers are writing one episode at a time.

Aubrey, who rarely watches TV at all and is ashamed to admit that he is hopelessly hooked on 24.

Ok, just an FYI, I Tivo the show so don't tell me the good parts! ;) Actually I'd forget it by time I watched it. And since you mentioned it, I must comment...could Chloe BE any more strange?!! Her character is so WEIRD. I don't know if she is acting weird like that or she's a weird actor, but it's very strange. I'm always annoyed at her monotone voice and short answers. And then they replaced her with Edgar who is JUST like her!!

That is just Chloe's normal behavior, she is a computer nerd and she always has this pouting look about her if you remember from last year. I was reading somewhere that the Arab community in our country was up in arms over the plot of 24, and perhaps the writer's may have changed the direction of the way the show was going.

I did not like Maryann the mole, and glad she is outta there...and I am hoping that Tony and Micheal get back together. Since she apologized to him, I noticed they have been back working as a team...

Who else was screaming at the TV last night?

This show is really addictive. So many twists and turns and you can never really figure out what is going to happen next...AAARGGGHH!!

When he rolled out of the hangar with a Stealth Bomber...I said "Uh Oh...This is gonna be trouble." Of course, that is how it went off so now I have to sit on the edge of this chair for a week.

Chloe is a nut...ready for her to go back where she came from.

Nah, Dina is dead. The man who shot her told Behrooz that his mother was dead.

I think Marwan wants Behrooz so that he can torture and /or kill him himself or force him to become a martyr for the cause.

Edgar is a bit geeky...well more than just a bit. Chloe on the other hand is out there. (Unless here acting skills are just that bad. It's hard to tell for sure.)

Interesting how Marwan's plan to distract everyone at CTU worked out so well. All that valuable and important info on that CD...and it's just sitting there. No one wants to take any initiative to handle it unless it fits into the office politics game.

Monday is only 5 days away now.

I'm ready.

Also, I saw where WGN (channel 239 DISH) will be airing '24' Sunday Oct 2.

I am watching it on A&E every Monday as I do not get FOX. They are showing season 1. This Sunday starts season 1 on WGN.
My son had someone tape them for him a few years back. I was hooked but he stopped getting them so I forgot about it until this thread started up.
Then I happened to visit Mom in the Spring and found out she could get Fox on her TV. My Mom taped the last 4 shows of the 2005 season.

Char, the best investment you could ever make is in Tivo!! It ROCKS! We have it in 2 rooms and have something like 80 hrs of recording time. I have no idea what nights our shows are on because we set up a "season pass" and it tapes it for us then we just watch it when we can. And you can pause and rewind the shows and live tv!

We tivo: 24, Boston Legal, Surface, Invasion, In Justice (new good show), My Name is Earl, 2 1/2 men, ER, and I'm sure a few others. I tivo Desperate Housewives, Dr.Phil, Oprah and Gardening by the Yard. I "watch" most Dr. P and Oprah while I'm cleaning because I can just listen and not have to sit and look at it. I have it tivo'd in both rooms in case I switch sides of the house to clean. :)

Oh my god what vivid imaginations you all have...Behind the chair...mmmmmm...could be David Palmer...

I love chloe...she is probably the only one in CTU who is loyal to Jack...

konkreteblond...do you mean Edger when you said Rudy??

This scenario with the President's wife Martha, reminds me of the Nixon days when the Atty. General Mitchell's wife Martha Mitchell died of myeloma, a form of cancer...age 57...mmmmm...that was interesting...She had a whole lot to say about Watergate, and they were trying to shush her up...

Anyway, tonight should be interesting...

Rudy played Rudy in Rudy... the movie... LOL Kid who made it to Notre Dame although he was 5 feet nothing, a hundred and nothing.

He's playing the govt. guy who's overseeing everything at CTU. I can't think of his name in the show.

It's Shawn Astin, but he played "Rudy" in that movie and he'll always be him. I loved that movie, but unfortunately for Shawn he's just small and young looking and doesn't look like a govt. official. He's very dry too, like he's just trying too hard to be taken seriously.

I like Chloe too, and yes she is the only loyal one, but WHAT is her deal?!? She is just a kook! lol I KNEW right away that something was up with that new guy that was sleeping with her, because that just ain't happening! lol

I haven't even thought about the person in the chair, or paid attention really. I'm like that, I don't like to think ahead. I just watch and am surprised as it happens. My husband can't stand the suspense. He has to watch all the previews too.

Sean Austin is the son of Patty Duke and John Austin. He stared as one of the side kids in Lord of the Rings.

I love this show came in in the middle last year and have been dvr'ing the shows on A&E to catch up. I kinda burned out in Day 3 so I never finished it. Seemed like I was always in the bedroom try to catch up the 4 hours taped on Mondays.

I am so glad to see this thread active again, began to wonder if any one was watching it this year.

I couldn't understand why they didn't let a fake motorcade go through, announce that the Russian pres and his wife were killed, then after the bad guys were caught announce it had been a setup... I guess that would be too EASY and there wouldn't be much of a storyline. :-)

Every President has a Secret Service detail with them for life... where does the Secret Service detail come from? The white house... Mike and many others would have access to Palmer's every move. ... remember the comment the guy who asked Jack for Protection made? "Do you think Walt Cummings was the only person in the white house working with us." And... a few shows back, when Jack was in a sticky spot, he turns to Mike and asked who else knew where he was... re the comment about Mike being Palmer's right hand man... Walt Cummings was Logan's right hand man, and that didn't mean he was a good guy. :-)

Maybe I'm wrong and Logan is the other bad guy. ;?)))
Maybe Lynn has been working for the bad guys all along and that is why he's so nervous?

It's definitely fun to keep guessing, and I think that is part of their success!!

I thought someone would comment about Monday nights program by now. Didn't we all somehow know Martha would survive that motorcade attack. She is my hero...and as far as Logan goes, he is the biggest slimeball walking the face of the earth and Mike no longer is in my good graces. However he did give Logan the opportunity to turn that motorcade around. The praying scene, what was that all about???

Thank goodness for loyal co-workers at CTU who stuck by Curtis, and threw Lynn in the lockup...Still have not figured out his agenda...Heard that next weeks 2 hour show will be a blood bath. Two characters on the show will die...MMMM...wonder who.

I just read in a spoiler that Audrey may be one of the ones to die in the next 2 episodes...

Whatever else happens to "24" this season, it seems that they have not given Ms. Raver, the lovely "Audrey Raines" a contract commitment for next season since it was announced today that she is doing a pilot for NBC for a new series for next season's schedule.

That of course brings up the very real possibility that she may be killed off in the course of things, and at the very least it gives hope to those who were rooting for Jack to find true love with the lady in the oil fields of Bakersfield sometime in the season's future finale.

Food for thought!

LOL Never got off the bandwagon, and have all the previous seasons on DVD to watch when it's not on. :)

I couldn't believe that the man running the weasel president turned out to be Jack's Brother.

Was a little confused at the beginning with the 2 year lapse. :)

Oh yeah, I never got off but I sure do forget some things when there is such a long break. I should have refreshed my memory on some things.

Char, Jack recovered really quick after being released tho! ;)

That was a shock to find out that was Jack's brother! We hated that guy when he was on ER too. lol

It's rare that DH and I both love the same show. This and House are about the only 2 that we agree on. My question is, where's Audrey??

I'm back...I just knew Jack's brother is dirty...and I can not stand the new President...Talk about a wimp...nothing like his brother David...

Anyone have any vibes on Marlo??? For some reason I just have this gut feeling about him and Murry...thoughts????

Marlo...? Is that Chloe's boyfriend? Oh...you mean Milo? Yeah, I get a weird vibe from Milo and Chloe's boyfriend. I could just be imagining it tho because I know how the show is.

I was surprised that they just killed Curtis off, but they seem to do that with people. TV audiences aren't used to that! lol There are usually more happy endings.

Happy endings...are you kidding me...they killed Teri...they killed tony and Michele...sad sad sad...now who is Jack gonna rely on...and is Nina really dead?????

Your right, Milo...LOL...I could never get names stright...and when the show opened, I knew something was going on with Curtis...again, gut feeling...

Oh yeah, Tony and Michelle! I couldn't believe that...Teri I guess I didn't care so much about...and David Palmer! I did like him. Oh no, this show doesn't have happy endings! I just meant that tv shows and movies used to have happier endings. Everything is more realistic now.

Just found this thread. My DH, DD and I are all glued to the television every monday night. Turn off the phone, turn down the lights and crank the surround sound!
Does anyone think there is anything going on between Jack and his dead brothers wife? Seems Jack is always giving her lingering looks and is so soft and tender with her. Could Josh be Jacks son? Hmmmm, just seems to be something there.

Jack always has some gal to give lingering looks to. I missed it last week. What happened? Did jack kill his dad? What has Chloe done? I believe Chloe's boyfriend, whatshisname. He spit the booze out.

Jack and SIL were dating, apparently several years ago. I made the same comment to my hubby when Graham was complaining to her about something, that the boy was probably Jack's. I guess we'll find out! Or not, it's hard to tell with that show!

Does anyone watch Prison Break before it?

Jack's dad escaped
Chloe just looks guilty all the time--but she did put in a call to Morris' sponsor if you missed that part. I get my weeks mixed up, and I missed one week myself.

I'm not sure what Morris is going to do.

Chloe and Morris were married at one time...Not sure if you all cought that...and I believe that Josh is going to be Jack's son. We will probably have to wait till the last hour to find out.

It's still good so far! There's still a lot to figure out. Audrey being one of them since we don't really know that was her that was killed.

Did everyone stop watching? LOL

I'm glad Jack saved us from Nuclear explosions, but man, why do we have to have a slimy President again?

So, what do you all think is going to be the cliffhanger this year? Wouldn't it be nice for once, NOT to have a cliffhanger at the end of the season?

Melisa...yup...Palmer passed out and is now in a coma...*sigh*...so Noah is acting President...and now they are putting the pressure on Karen and she had to fire her husband Bill from CTU, what a mess...they better start getting some better story lines here, how many times can that new guy, forget his name, Rickey Schroeder is the actor, how many times can he screw up Jack's plan...he is getting on my last nerve. Somehow I think in the end Chloe will save the day. I love that women!

After watching Seasons 1-3 on DVD in like a months time (I had heard so much about the show I just had to see it for myself) I stopped due to 24 overload and just returned for this season (6). So I missed Seasons 4 & 5 I guess. But it feels like I've seen a lot of this before. Was last Season really good? Maybe I need to go rent it on DVD. I've heard a few folks say this season wasn't the best.

I think we should with TW. I'll have to check that out. Normally I've used our BlockBuster subscription, but it sure takes a while to go through them all, especially when you have to wait for that new disk on a cliffhanger.
