I feel like a little kid, waiting for Christmas morning, or the start of summer vacation!
This meeting will answer so many questions that I have swirling around in my head. I pray that I come away from it full of motivation, and with enough confidance to try it. I have no information about this market. I don't know it's size or how long it's been in operation.
My concern comes from the fact that I work fulltime, and would be attempting to grow for market all by my lonesome. Nothing would go to waste, as I have chickens, sheep and goats. If I can't get my schedule to mesh well with the market, I have a healthfood store that is willing to take anything I grow. I worked there for 5 years, so I know this is a sure thing.
A big question I have is how on earth do you figure out how much to plant? Have any of you started out without a greenhouse? I have a few raised beds with pvc supporting plastic, so I can get my lettuce transplants out early. I know that this will be "learn as I go", hope you don't mind me rambling...
