Where a frost-free climate demands year-round beauty, foliage is actually more important than a few months of colorful bloom. This mix is in a long narrow bed in partial sun/bright shade. From left to right:
-a few leaves of Tecomaria capensis poke into the picture
-spikey leaves of an unknown dark purple bearded iris
-variegated white-and-green of Swedish Ivy 'Marginatus' Plectranthus coleoides, with variegated polygonum underneath (with its tiny pink flowers)
-more spikey-leaved bearded iris
-'Copper Velvet' Oxalis siliquosa
-Plectranthus argentatus
