I mistakenly have this plant in a full sun bed, and in summer (coastal Northern CA) it gets a bit crispy. This is a common problem for us Western gardeners; many plants listed for 'full sun' can't actually take our intense summers. Still, it has grown happily in its spot and loves the winter/spring/fall, so I've left it alone. The new leaves are an intense yellow, which fade to chartreuse. It's quite drought-tolerant and relatively pest-free, responding well to pruning -- like pelargoniums, it leafs so thickly that the leaves die underneath the top layers, so it's good to open it up with the Felco every once in a while. I bought it for its leaf color, and was surprised that it has exquisite lavendar flower spikes for a brief time in the summer.
